Closed head with liquid cooling and 8 m cable for SAXX welding sources for welding in the range of ø 38-170mm

These closed heads are designed for orbital butt TIG welding, pipe-elbows, pipe sockets, T-pieces, pipe-fittings and others in a fully inert sealed chamber. SATFX heads are powered by AXXAIR orbital welding sources of the SAXX series. Integrated water cooling of the heads and new treatment of aluminum parts offers better electrical and thermal conductivity. Dual cooling of the rotor and head body is essential to guarantee good parts life by minimizing the effects of expansion deformation.

• Perfect protection against gas in the welding head.

• 4 stainless steel remote control buttons: Start/stop, gas cleaning, rotor rotation in one direction and rotation in the other direction.
• These heads are supplied in a water and dust resistant case and with a suspension assembly.

Our new range of SATFX closed welding heads allows you to achieve high quality welds in minimal space.

Closed-head orbital welding is performed by simple fusion without the addition of filler material. Therefore, these heads are recommended for welding thin pipes of various types of stainless steel with a thickness of less than 3 mm.

SATFX heads are also mandatory for welding other alloys based on nickel or titanium, which are very sensitive to oxidation and are used in installations with excellent resistance to chemicals or heat.

The new SATFX heads have been designed to meet the needs of our customers who are often faced with the most demanding welding specifications. The protective atmosphere provided by the closed heads enables welding in an inert chamber. The result is welds with very minimal staining and a perfectly clean weld.

This type of equipment is used in industries sensitive to hygienic conditions, such as aerospace, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, as well as food and beverage processing.

The SATFX series in conjunction with our SAXX welding sources and their continuous monitoring of welding parameters guarantee repeatable high quality welds. This type of weld undergoes the most demanding tests, such as X-ray inspection.

- guarantees considerable welding performance. Operating current at 100% is 100A for SATFX 52-76-115 and 120A for SATFX-170.
